Glorious food

Now I know why some people call food glorious. After my 3 day eating spree in Malaysia, I truly understand why. The moment I arrived, the eating escapade began..with the famous chicken rice, followed by the satay steamboat..with the big fat yummy prawns..and then seafood at Klang, followed by Huang San Mao durians (if you dunno what's that.. it costs Sing $25 per kg, but mine was a treat from my lovely host).. this was followed by Klang's Yumcha and the porridge steamboat with the famous fried pork cutlets.. ooh.. mouth-watering..salivating.. sinful..weightgaining.. better start losing weight soon..

by the way, all that wasn't attempted in a day. Was over a spread of three days. Didn't even have time to shop at Sungei Wang. SIGH.

since a picture paints a thousand words.. here are some.

Bloopers

Some bloopers made in church (I'm sure there's more which someday we should compile into a book):

A) Found in the powerpoint slide Stella typed for "Still":

Father You are King over the floor...
(Yes, Stella, we know that but certainly He's more than that right)

B) During P&P while singing "We're together again":

For the last time (let's sing) we're together again
(No, Lester, the rapture ain't coming today)

C) And the one that tops it all, Euvin in his excitement teaching devotion in Cebu said:

Esther shaved the Jews
(Oh Euvin, that's a really fresh revelation)

If I had wings like a dove

The title of this post sounds familiar, think I might have used it before. and if i did, it only goes to show how much it means to me. yeah. wings like a dove. to take me to the far-out places, the destinations listed in that book sitting in Borders "1000 places to visit before you die" (or something like that). so depressing the title but at the same time makes you crave to really want to see those listed places. I think I visited about 3 of the 1000 places. Why am I even rambling at such an unearthly hour? lol. beats me. Maybe it's writing therapy (hey I coined it myself). writing to relieve oneself from thinking too much, or to relieve myself from marking my tuition kid's compre.

Whatever it is lah. This is not one of those inspirational excerpts I sometimes attempt to write. It's more of a desire. To fly. To want to be somewhere else. Anywhere. The Taj Mahal maybe.
