Memories

Finally two presentations down. One more to go next monday. I sure was jittery. Hate public speaking till this day, but managed to calm my nerves a little and answered so many questions that were hurled at me.

So as part of my breather before I embark on my next presentation and term papers, I decided to scan this old photo, partly to celebrate my scanner working after hours of toil fixing it, and more so because the song "He'll hold me in the storm" has been ringing in my head for a week.

Many of you might probably have no idea where this photo originated from and why all these people are dressed in funereal white and black. and if you look closer, you might be delighted to see faces like Wen Kiat, a tiny Bear huddled someone in the middle and a younger Caleb looking not-so-happy (he's in his role as a sheep called "Bitter" lah).

anyway this is a picture of the cast (not all are here) of So ewe would come, a production we did long ago (as you can probably tell from the photo). and guess what, even Ah Tan was involved! lolx! by the way, the white-clothed beings are the Shepherd's sheep and the black-clothed entities are the nasty ones (trying to sound as politically correct as possible). lest I bore you further, here's the song used in this production, which i said was ringing in my head, and I hope will encourage some of you:

I know you're scared cos' you've seen lightning clouds on your horizon
And you don't think you can make it through the rains
The skies above you darken and your heart begins to break
Don't you know, HE's there to ease the pain
Chorus:
He'll be your candle in the darkness and He'll hold you in the storm
You can see the cold rains coming but you know He'll keep you warm
There's no reason to cry now, there's no need to mourn
cos He'll be your candle in the darkness and He'll hold you in the storm.
I know you're scared cos' you don't think HE'll hear you in the thunder
and you wonder if you cry out, will He come?
But don't you know He's been there, since the day the rains first started
He's holding out His arms, when there's nowhere to run

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
oh btw, charlene sang that last line of the chorus solo. haha. pretty unforgettable.
yea, so if you're like facing some storm, anxiety, fear, remember, the Shepherd and lover of your soul is right there for you and He'll hold you in the storm. nice and tightly.
