Back

I'm back after a long hiatus and urgings from people to update my blog. I haven't exactly stopped blogging, just that I sometimes rather write at more obscure places.

In any case, an event like this year's church camp definitely warrants a blog entry. I enjoyed the camp pretty much despite having so much to do. There was just this heartwarming feeling amongst the campers, much due to the elderly and youth bonding. Here are some of the most memorable moments for this year's camp:

1) 83 year old Mdm Lim's sporting spirit and how she got the crowd on their feet with her dance moves. Total credit to that amazing lady for being so enthusiastic and flexibility! Who needs Susan Boyle when we have Mdm Lim!

2) GS's infamous line which will go down in history - (GS to Porks: "You better not hug me cos if you hug me, you will never let me go") - That guy deserves the Entertainer of the Camp award.

3) Firsts in the camp
- JT's worship leading for the Mandarin service,
- LL's solo rendition of Fill me and his crooning of Love so amazing at the hotel lobby which got Aunty Ivy asking him for a mini-concert,
- the chinese service band,
- the OshKosh (gotta be discreet) family being present at the camp and providing much fun,
- and most of all the elderly-youth buddy system (which got several positive comments from the elderly themselves saying they really appreciate the youth partners for taking care of them and they felt the warmth! Good job guys and gals!)

Well that's all I can think of now. Dun have a photographic memory like Double-A.

missing melaka and its splendid food......... sigh
