Weekly recaps

Just a few things worth mentioning:

1) I got more teachers day wishes AFTER I've quit teaching, compared to the years I was teaching. Ironic? I don't know. Whatever it is, I appreciate every single one of those sms-es, a few of which came from people I really didn't expect. Guess you never know on whose lives you live footprints on.

2) My all-time favourite tennis hitting partner who has been nursing a foot injury, was told by the doctor today to lay off from exercise for what will probably be a long time. There might even be the need for surgery. It's sad cos' this is the person who:

~ patiently slugged with me when I was still very much a tennis noob hitting moonballs (like a certain someone lolz),
~ taught me how to run for every ball (even the seemingly unreachable ones),
~ pushed my fitness beyond my limits by hitting beautiful drop volleys at the net forcing me to run like the wind (that year I passed the 2.4km),
~ played with me in the hot morning 10-12 sun (the sun has been my friend ever since) and
~ produced amazing rallies so often when we played.

You'll be missed. I truly hope you can and will come back to tennis one day. Meanwhile, bake the best cakes the world has ever tasted =)
